Despacito is a song from 2017 released by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi. It was the most streamed track in the world within 6 months. Mixing pop music and Reggaeton came out in 2017 by singer from Puerto Rico Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. The track became the most-streamed at that time within 6 months. The Billboard Top 100 featured two songs which were Spanish mostly, and four in 2016. In the midst of Despacito's fame in 2017 there were 19 predominantly Spanish tracks which made it into the top 100. And in 2020 the number was 41. Following the time that Justin Bieber released his bilingual remix of Despacito in 2017, the most well-known artists began to join forces with reggaeton musicians. Drake and Bad Bunny were part of a team for the track MIA MIA (2018) and Madonna joined forces with Maluma on Medellin 2019, which was released in 2019. Some reggaeton artists expressed their displeasure at the rise of popular music by 2020. But a new band, Rauw Alejandro wanted to maintain the evolution and development of reggaeton. Rauw Alejandro incorporated electronic dance forms and others into his music.
