Kat Dennings, born Katherine Victoria Litwack on the 13th of June, 1986 at Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania was the first child of Gerald and Ellen Dennings. Ellen Dennings is her mom. Dennings is the youngest out of five children, and grew up in a family that was all Jewish. Dennings was a homeschooled student and attended school only for a brief period. As she was attempting to get into acting at a young age, the homeschool arrangement made the best sense, as she was able to finish high school by the age of fourteen. When she was just nine, she was doing commercials. To pursue an acting profession, Kat Dennings relocated together with her family members into Los Angeles when she finished high-school. Kat Dennings was her name when she began to audition. Kat Dennings made her acting debut following moving to LA after appearing in the HBO series "Sex and the City" in the year 2000.
