Tyler Perry's movie Why Did I Get Married also features her. Together with Perry along with Janet Jackson as well as indie film Frozen Peas, and Born Guilty. She has also appeared in Shattered! Never Die Alone as well as American Adobo. Cum Laude's B.F.A. was awarded to Keesha upon her graduation. Keesha decided to go into the theatre industry after graduating from Cum Laude with the Bachelor of Fine Arts. She appeared in her first Broadway National Tour of Carousel as well as debuted Off Broadway on stage in Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. In addition, she performed eight roles in the humorous Eat the Runt.
