Adele

Adkins was raised by a single mom in various areas of working class London. She was a lover of popular music of the present when she was a kid and was adept at playing the guitar and clarinet. But it wasn't until her early teens, when she discovered the blues-based rhythm singer Etta James, as well as other mid-20th century performers, that she began to consider pursuing a career in music. When she was in a secondary school for performing arts funded by the government when a friend began uploading songs Adkins wrote on Myspace. Her music eventually attracted the attention of record labels and, in 2006 several months after graduating she signed a deal with XL Recordings.
